The first photos i took were simple portrait emotions where i could easily name a emotion such as happy, sad, angry and have me and a friend expressing these emotions. This is more like acting within the images, but it shows how easily emotions can be identifed within peoples facial expressions.

From the first photographs that were taken the expression "happy" was said, we see happy as smiling, laughing and the person looking happy. I think the white backround i used emphasises me and the expression i have in the image. i enjoyed being part of the photographs as i was able to over react on the emotions being said for me to do.

When a person is asked the most common emotions happy and sad were said alot.

After a few single shots i decided to have a friend in my pictures, having two people would show how we both reacted to the emotions that were being said to us. The image on the left is "sad" we started with the most common upset expression. But we expanded this to crying and friends being there for each other, helping each other.Crying is a common emotion related to being sad or upset. Crying can also be seen as a happy emotion.

Before taking the portrait shots i made a mind map with all the emotions i could think of, these were then shouted to me, which i then had to show the emotion through my body and facial expressions.
