Richard Billingham- Candid Shots

When researching candid images. I found a photographer called Richard Billingham. He was a Mid-90's photographer who grasped his images of his troubled family. Most of his photographs were centered on Billinghams alcoholic father and his troubled brother which showed the intense ,real-life situations in his home. Billingham tried to capture that his family images were not going to be all fake-smiles but more like the everyday activities and tasks that go on in his home which makes the photographs seem so much more life-like. It seems he wants the emotions of his family to be shown to express his own emotions that he experiences at home and what his family are like. As you can see his photo's were everyday activities that encountered within his family home from his mum to the pet dog, and watching television and eating tea. i like the way Billingham captures hi s family emotions and his everyday life within his photographs. In my examples of Richards work i hope to capture the emotions in my family home and what happens in my everyday life.

Here is one image from my family shots.
